Jacob sighed and shook his head, “Ok Feir, Attack Pattern Omega,” he said and watched everything unfold. Feir stood his ground as Solo charged with its bite and at the last moment jumped up as high as it could. Solo passed underneath it and as it was Feir came down on top of it with another Close Combat attack. Solo slammed into the ground and took the full force of the attack. This was rather painful and resulted in a very sharp critical hit. Feir jumped high into the air and landed about 10 feet from Eevee and used Flamethrower on it. Eevee, very inexperienced at battle, froze and took the hit full force and received a burn for its lack of movement. Eevee took a second to take in the fact that it was now on fire before going into, what Feir thought, violent rolling fits on the ground to put it out. Solo took this moment to inflict a rather harmful bite on Feir. It was a critical hit on its side and caused it to cry in pain. Feir looked at Solo as he was starting to get rather angry at this and started another close combat attack.
This hit and was rather painful, no critical hit but still rather strong and sent Solo landing on its back in pain. Not finished with the attack Feir jumped and landed on top of Solo and continued its attack causing further damage as it slammed Solo several times into the ground, causing the point of critical hit to come. Unfortunately at the end of the attack Solo delivered its last bite attack, not nearly as powerful as the last one as Solo cringed in pain but it was an attack none the less. Rei winced at seeing Luna and Solo in so much pain. Part of her recalled how Varheit had called off the battle after only so far. But, if she did such a thing, did she deserve to push these Pokemon? To train them and bring out their full power? She let out a slow hiss. Besides, then Starly would have given her all for nothing. She let out a sharp whistle, catching both of her Pokemon's attentions. They would have to push themselves as hard as she was pushing them, or else it wouldn't mean anything.
"Solo, Morning Sun, then resume Biting. Luna, use a Tackle attack, then resume assisting Solo with Helping Hand!" she called out, unphased by their pain.
Luna started to cry again, her fur badly singed and her body shaking from the power of the attack that had hit her. She didn't want to fight anymore, it hurt far too much and didn't help her at all.
<Come on, Eevee,> Solo spoke to Luna finally. <Rei's a great trainer. She'll push you, but you have to push yourself.>
<I don't want to! I don't want to fight, I don't want to be here!> she whimpered.
<Shame, you could have evolved and become a strong Pokemon one day. I heard Rei had an Umbreon once, the most powerful in Altairen. But I suppose being able to do something like that isn't to your taste, hm?> He moved to attack, leaving the Eevee to stare for a moment.
<Evolve?> What was that?
<You'll find out if we win!> Solo shouted. Luna stood there for a moment, having never had a reason to fight before. But, for some reason, it made her want to win. Even though it was scary, she was curious now about this evolving thing. She ran forward as Solo began to glow under the afternoon's sunlight, trying to ram into it. For some reason, having something else to focus on, a goal, made the pain seem temporarily bearable.

Jacob grinned at the results but was more then a little worried. Feir was about out of energy and really only had one more round left, if that. “Ok Feir, make this one count for all its worth. Close Combat that Solo, slam it into the ground and knock it out.” He said and Feir went into action. Solo used Morning sun but it didn’t give much HP do to a lack of major intense sun, but maybe it would be enough. Eevee ran in for a tackle and hit Feir hard in the side but Feir ignored it and continued running towards Solo. As the two got close Feir hit Solo hard with a Close Combat attack but not before Solo hit him equally as hard with a bite. Problem was Close combat was longer then bite and Solo now had a firm grip on Feir proving and excellent target. Feir continued to pummel Solo hitting with another critical hit.
At this moment in time Feir ran out of energy for any more attacks and Jacob sighed. “Ok well it would appear you have won. Feir has no energy left to battle with so that would count as a loss on its part. Feir, Stance pattern Theta” He said and Feir stood still to receive the damage exposing as many critical hit parts on himself and combined effort of Eevee and Solo knocked it out with a series of critical hits. Jacob took off his jacket and made his way towards you. “Here you go, you definitely earned this and thank you for the great battle.” He said and recalled Feir and walked off. Rei let out a huff and recalled her Pokemon, once again offering no praise as she allowed them a chance to rest. Rummaging through the coat, she looked at all of the items. Coming across the rare blacklisted Slave Ball made her pause, then after a moment, she began to laugh softly. Well, that would be something to keep around, even if it wasn't exactly a legal item. It wasn't illegal either, as stealing a Vizath's Pokemon was a viable tactic against the enemy.
Grinning, she tried the coat on, the skulls and chains rattling lightly. It was loose in the arms and torso, but the hem came to rest just above ground level, Shrugging into it, she turned and headed back into town to drop her injured Pokemon off at the Pokemon Center. That would do for a day's training. Midway would probably be her next stop, as well as the next training ground for herself and Varheit as well as a place to capture and research new Pokemon. She had heard rumors...
She handed her Pokemon to the caretaker of the Center and waited for them to recover, thinking. She flipped her Pokedex open, scanning for any new additions to the Altairen Database. By the next day, she was at the Center again, relaxing. All of her Pokemon had needed to stay overnight to recover from their injuries. Luna's fur was still singed in places, but she looked relatively happy and healthy now, plus they had been fed free of charge and wouldn't be hungry until much later.
Leaning back in her chair, she toyed with the Slave Ball lightly, running her fingers lightly over the red and black design of the sinister creation only Altairen scientists could create. It was a risky device that could be used to capture other trainer's Pokemon. Using one against the wrong people could get you kicked out of Altairen, or worse, killed. She wondered how that kid from earlier had come across one, and what Varheit thought of such a thing. And even heavier on her mind, if she should use it.
Expanding the item to its full size, she clicked the button to pop it open. The insides looked just like every other Pokeball, but there was something about the mechanism that erased the bonding a Pokemon had to its Pokeball and made it fair game. Of course, it could only then be caught by that ball. If it broke, then Pokemon would regain its former signature and trainer, since the initial breaking was temporary at best. But, she had also heard of horrible backfires where a trainer would loose their Pokemon instead.
She would not be the one to make such a foolish mistake. Recalling all of her Pokemon, she headed back to her apartment building. From there, she hung up her new coat, undressed, and took a long, hot shower. From there, she picked out a form fitting crimson blouse, the neckline cutting low and the sleeves coming down to her forearms. A black skirt complimented the dark colors, complete with a pair of dress shoes that she hated, even though she had selected them above any other types of shoes due to their lack of heel.
Once she had finished, she picked out a sweet scent, a mixture of flower and cucumber, a strange but subtle scent that she enjoyed. Once she had finished, she considered playing with her hair, but in the end, she left it down around her face, feeling it was most natural this way.
Looking around, she found a scarcely touched purse, using it to slip in her ID, Pokeballs, and the one Slave Ball. She then checked the time, noting that she still had a bit to spare before she would have to be at the Bistro near Varheit's place. Letting out a sigh and wondering if he would dislike her coming dressed but without make up, she headed out to take a taxi to the designated restaurant.
About twenty minutes early, she arrived and found a comfortable place to sit down and wait for him inside of the restaurant. Since she had opted to leave her sunglasses at home, waiting outside would have been a pain. Quite literally. Hoping that he wouldn't wait for her outside, she crossed her ankles lightly, resisting the urge to swing one leg over the other and slouch back into the chair. Despite her years of military service, bad posture was a habit she had never bothered to fix. It just felt good to let loose and relax.
"I hope he likes..." she trailed off. Liked what? Her? Her clothes? Her scent? She chuckled softly. She wasn't one to dress up for no reason, if at all. All of the sudden, she had a case of nerves, wanting to go back and change into more familiar clothes and tell Varheit that if he didn't like her for how she was, he could shove it. But then, she remembered that she had offered to do this. She bit her lower lip nervously, wondering if she should just go hide. Why had she done this, anyway? He was just a man. She could travel Altairen on her own, there was no reason for her to just wait around.
And then he came in, and her face lit up. "Varheit..."

Beaming and making a gesture as if tipping his hat to her Varheit strode onto the scene, bending down to kiss Rei lightly on the cheek. " 'Ello Rei" He exclaimed, ecstatic to see the young woman in person again. He slid into his chair and crossed his hands over his menu, taking in the sight of her and savoring the scents of cooking food. "So how was your day?"
Varheit had spent the day picking up various supplies and storing them away, planning for the adventure ahead of them he had acquired a few tms and a small chunk of emergency cash in case they ran into trouble, he had also bundled a tent and a pair of sleeping bags for them in his backpack. He could hardly wait for the adventure ahead.

"Luna is recovering from burns, and I came across something extremely rare. Oh, and I got a new coat," she let out a sigh. No compliments on her looks? She felt slightly down for it, but offered a smile instead as she sat up straight. "Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. How about yourself? Are you looking forward to tomorrow?"
She had her purse in her lap, and began to toy with the zipper casually, thinking about the Pokemon inside. Luckily, when she got home to get her supplies, everything would be ready. The perks of the military, or at least her rank, was that she could simply order and have things waiting for her. Among them was a few sets of evolutionary stones that she would use as needed. For now, she didn't think any of her Pokemon were ready to evolve.

As you where sitting waiting for a waiter to come and take your order a slight commotion started taking place between a pair trainers with bright red sashes around their waists and the manager. It was obvious the manager was angry, it was also obvious the two trainers wanted something. “I refuse to pay you thugs protection money, and I REFUSE to sell my Bistro to anyone who uses idle threats to get what they want.” He said in anger and stared at the two trainers. One was a woman, about 5 foot 1 inch tall with short spiked bright blue hair. She was wearing a form fitting dress that was almost as blue as her hair that seemed to sparkle as she moved. She sighed and shook her head. “You realize, of course, that we make NO idle threats right?” she said and turned to her partner. This trainer was a young man that topped the scales at 6 foot 9 inches tall and was rather formidable in appearance. He sighed as well and took a step back “If that is how you want to be then we will just have to show you WHY you should be paying us that protection money.” He said and pulled out a pokeball. “Flash GO!” he yelled and the ball arced slightly in the air and released its Pokémon in a bright red flash. Out came a Mankey that was rather rare in color. It looked rather disheveled and looked like it was used to a life of pain. Around its neck was a big bright orange collar and the young man pulled out a remote, “Flash, destroy that table over there,” he said and pushed the button. The collar hummed for an instant and released a flash of painful energy into the Mankey. As this was happening the woman tossed out her own pokeball. “Come on out T’laye,” she said and out popped a Kricketot. “T’laye destroy that counter,” she said and pushed another button on a remote and the Collar around T’laye’s neck delivered its own shock to the poor Pokémon. Well what where you going to do? It was obvious that these two badly mistreated their Pokémon and tortured them to make things all the worse. Maybe that red sash meant something important? level 7 level 9

Rei stood up first, having been able to see what was happening since she she had taken a seat to watch the entrance for Varheit's arrival. She frowned as the Pokemon were forced to carry out questionable acts. She looked at her date, let out a sigh, and opened her purse. Momentarily, she saw the Slave Ball, but moved her hand over it to pick up Solo's Pokeball. Snapping it open, she let out a sharp whistle to try to catch the trainer's attentions. Then, she grinned at Solo.
"Attack those people," she commanded. In most regions, it was severely frowned on to attack humans, but Rei had no problem at all with doing this. Solo let out a snarl and launched himself forward, trying to avoid the Pokemon as he dove straight at the humans. She then stepped towards the invaders slowly, her eyes narrowing.
"Don't interrupt military personnel on their dates. Get lost or you'll get burned alive."

Varheit stood, palm over his face, the eye uncovered by his palm inspecting them, they didn't seem like a threat, he released the clasp on his suitcase and shook it casually, a pokeball shaking loose from it's perch within then popping open, releasing his Natu in a flash of red light, he signaled to the Natu to cover him and without a word charged the assailant, choking up on his cane and swinging it at the man's face while Cricket the Natu aimed low in an attempt to hit the man in the legs with a shadow ball, aiding Varheit in his attack.

The man looked at you as you started to speak and release your Pokémon. He looked at Flash and nodded. Flash grinned and started moving towards Solo as it roared, which had no effect on either Flash or T’laye as they feared their trainers far more then any Pokémon. As Solo released its first Ember Flash Flash sent out a spray of stars using the attack Swift. The swift stopped the Ember, followed by stopping the second Ember. Flash charged in and pulled his fist back and it glowed bright blue before he shot forward slamming into Solo with a painful looking Aerial Ace sending Solo flying back.
The girl looked at Var and nodded at T’laye. The little Kricketot started moving towards him and used Subsitute in front of the Shadow ball sent out by Natu. It then turned and jumped up in the air and used String shot warpping the sticky goop around Var’s Legs making him trip as he ran. It then turned towards Natu and used Silver wind, unleashing a stream of glittering wind at Natu, who jumped up and away and wasn’t hit. BAD GUYS T’laye: HP 75% Energy 84%

"Are you alright, Varheit?" Rei asked, looking at her partner. He had taken a bad fall and it momentarily distracted her. After a moment, though, she looked back to the fight to see Solo panting slightly. She grinned slightly, looking back at her opponents. They were tough, and after a moment, she looked into her purse, thinking about what she would do with them. She then began to move slowly, working her way to stand at the entrance to keep them from escaping.
"Solo, Ember barrage to break Substitute, then attack the Kricketot, take it out!" she commanded. Solo had the advantage against this one, and once it was down, she could help Cricket out with the Mankey.

"Yeah, I'm fine but it looks like disabling them is no longer an option, I'm going to kill him." With a twist of his cane he pulled him self to his feet, then charged ripping at the goop then leaping at the man, attampting to strike him in the temple with the cane's sweet spot after closing the distance. Meanwhile the Natu unleashed a full volley of Shadow Balls at the offending trainer, no longer content to strike him in the legs as the hand signals Var had issued had commanded him, now only concerning himself with destroying the thug who had dared to try and evade his master.

The man smirked and pulled his right hand out of his pocket. His hand came up and the cane stopped about a half foot from his head caught in the crevices between the brass knuckles he wore. He shook his head and pushed back jumping out of the way of the first two Shadow balls. At this moment T’laye jumped in front of the last one and used Silver wind and the two attacks exploded slightly causing shock waves to spread through the area. T’laye landed and shot towards Solo. He leapt up over the first Ember and sent out a Silver wind. Solo shot out another Ember which stopped the silver wind, followed by another quick Ember hitting t’laye with a critical hit and sending it flying back and made it miss-fire its last Silver Wind.
During this time Mankey took advantage of Natu and charged in from its blind spot and used Thunder Punch on it, scoring a hit and sending it flying. He jumped up to follow it and spun in the air before putting that momentum into his Ice punch sending the now hurting Natu slamming into the ground. He landed and looked at var. “Man Man ManKEEEEY!” he yelled as if seeming to taunt you into focusing on him. He grinned and turned his attention back to Natu and used another Thunder punch but missed and hit a chair instead.
