Legend has it that the Legendary Pokemon of the different Regions from far away came together a long time ago. Working in harmony they made a lush landscape atop a huge continent that completely engulfed the southern pole and most of the hemisphere of the Poke World. Taking humans and Pokemon they deemed worthy enough from the pick of the other areas to this new area to live in Harmony with them.
The land was so fertile that even the Legendary Pokemon were able to have eggs of their own and raise them in the environments that would suit them best. The humans making a huge settlement under the Volcano of the Legendary Fire Pokemon for warmth and care.
700 years ago though, well before boats and anything too modern that could help in the coming years, The Volcano erupted. Local myths say that the Legendary Pokemons of fire grew spiteful towards the humans, others say they had a fight with the others of the land. Well whatever the reason the Volcano erupted, causing land to shift and areas to sink to the oceans depths. The islands are what is left of the outer areas of land, and the ruins with the desert the once lush landscape under the Giant Volcano.
Because of the Catastrophe, as the locals call it the Great Burning, lots of people and Pokemon lost their lives and became unable to leave back to the Regions their ancestors came from. Even the Legendary pokemon that made the Region supposedly left back to their own Regions of Origin, leaving their Legendary children who did not wish to leave behind.
It took hundreds of years to make the three cities, and reclaim a semblance of life. As time went by the fear of another eruption drifted further and further away. People grew and went on with their lives, along with the Pokemon as well.
300 years ago though the Volcano started to rumble again, many smaller eruptions but nothing as big as the long forgotten past. The eruption though triggered another Life changing event for the inhabitants of this vast land. Somehow, someway, Pokemon and people were able to start understanding each other even when they spoke their own respective languages. Even weirder were the half people half Pokemon being born, come to be known as PokeMorphs for they could fully change into their Pokemon half or go back.
Many Scientists and Researchers worked long and hard to try to figure out what was going on, but only when the first visitors of the forgotten regions showed up over 100 years ago were they able to make any real progress. With modern technology growing with the rest of the world now along with trade. The native scientists and foreign ones were able to figure out a few of the quirks. For instance only would a child be a Pokemorph when they are born, if the Pokemon is there for their birth. But this isn't always the case, though if there is a Pokemorph in the history of the family the chance of it happening would be greater.
Recently though, in the past twenty or so years, there has been an odd rash of Pokemorph kidnappings, especially if the children are five years old or younger. But even adult Pokemorphs are being noticed as being Kidnapped it seems by a group that is now starting to go about as Team Sand. Along with other horrifying reports of said team torturing and experimenting on anyone or anything it can get its hands on.
Team Sea though has risen shortly as well, though they are working with the Rangers trying to protect the inhabitants and get rid of Team Sand. Claiming that the water will purge the sinners and they are the agents of such a calling.
So now you get to decide your call in life... Are you part of either Team? Trainer, Breeder, or Coordinator perhaps? Or what about an average Civilian, Scientist, or even a Researcher?
