Name: Erik Greene
Age: 16
Gender:M
Profession:Breeder first, Trainer second.
Alignment: Civilian
Appearance: Erik is a five nothing sixteen year old boy that weighs about a hundred pounds even. He has a sharp look in his eyes that spells out the over confidence written all over his face. He has green hair, which is never styled, and black eyes. His frame is bony and his clothes look like they could fall off. He wears a green button down shirt and black relax fitted cargo pants. Over this he wears a short sleeve jacket, black adorned with gray pockets and red trim. On his back is the only thing he carries for survival- his backpack. It's stuffed full with his sleeping bag, minimal camping supplied, and few changes of clothing. On his hands he has fingerless gloves and his pokegear equipped watch. His pokeballs are worn via clips attached to his pants. There are three on each leg. Any spare balls are kept in his bag or pockets; whatever convenient at the time.
Personality: Over confident doesn't begin to describe Erik. He's a can-do-anything, gonna-be-everything, be all, end all, go getter, that's loud, screams, and runs around all day. But this is not unfounded bravado. Erik truly is a powerful trainer that is well accomplished. Grass type Pokemon are his love and specialty. He knows everything there is to know about them- strengths and weaknesses. And though it may seem that he pushes his Pokemon to their limits, Erik actually knows that they must struggle against those limits if they want to be the best.
When it comes to people though, the same can not be said. Erik has trouble with people because he wants to always move at his own pace- and that pace is as fast as possible. When encountering strong people he'll want to battle them right then and there to prove he's the top trainer. With girls, he doesn't know how to interact with them at all, save for destroying them in battle. When defeated by a person, Erik can become obsessed with defeating them. He'll go so far as to catch, breed, raise, and train specific pokemon in specific ways so as to overcome to obstacle.
Biography: Erik was born in Celadon City, Kanto. From a young age he admired the gym of his city. He loved grass pokemon and everything associated with them. Even the flower arranging and perfume making that the girls within were doing. But the Celadon City gym doesn't allow boys or men to join. Erik was constantly turned away, despite his enthusiastic talent for the field. Because of this, and this alone, Erik was driven by obsession to become the best grass trainer ever.
At age 12 he started his pokemon journey, as is customary. His starting pokemon was Bulbasaur originally. On his first day he challenged Erika and was utterly defeated. He was thrown out of the gym in disgrace. His parents came to console him only to find him packing his bags and ready to leave. He screamed from his roof that he'd be back after becoming a grass-pokemon master with complete knowledge of the field.
On his journey he traveled across Kanto and onto another region. He met friends and trained hard, all the while he learned more about grass pokemon and the breeding styles. He learned about move sets, weaknesses vs strengths, and fought many battles to become the top dog that he is today. But, within his own mind, he had made Erika out to be this unreachable plateau. So, after his first journey he decided to go to the next region over- Altairen.
In his rash over enthusiasm, Erik never bothered to check the current events or history of the Altairen region though. He had no idea about the war, the unstable climate, or worst of all the complete lack of gyms to defeat. Now stranded in this whole, a disgruntled Erik strives to get the gyms back working so that he can defeat them and become the champion of this region. Amidst doing this, Erik traded out his entire team to start fresh. This was also a mistake of his over enthusiasm as he learned that this region did not have a specific set of starters like the others.
Instead, the young trainer decided to start with Chimchar- a starter that he was familiar with but had never raised himself. He hopes that by learning the strengths that a fire-type has over the grass-types, he'll better understand how to train grass-types.
