"That's saying I even knew the duty roster. And sides, the peace of the town wouldn't be disturbed just by simply introducing myself to a newcomer and allowing my pokemon to do the same without battling," Gregora stated, showing the tiniest amount of annoyance, "I even told Boomer here that he's not worth the trouble since there's no honor to battling someone when you have a decisive advantage. I have some honor in my name as a trainer."
Gregora was showing even more emotion now than ever as she fought to control her anger and to keep it from bubbling up to the surface but some was. Even if it was a tiny bit, it bothered her that such accusations were making her lose some control over the only thing in her life she had control over. She berated herself in her mind over her loss of control as she forced her emotions back into the bottle she kept them.
"I don't know much about the poison type other than things I learned from my parents since they used to run a day care back..."
Memories of growing up in the daycare that doubled as her home bubbled up in her mind. Memories of seeing her little brother being favored over her since she was different. Since she was deemed to have what most would call a disability. And yet, she missed it all. She wouldn't admit it to anyone, especially herself that not only was she homesick, but she missed her parents terribly. She forced the memories back into the mental cage she kept them and frowned for a moment before her expression turned neutral.

Mathew couldn't help but feel slightly smug at the fact that he seemed to get under her skin, and that he knew the answer to the man's question while she did not. Though Mathew had spent a fair amount of time studying the area and everything he would need to know. This was his passion. He waited for her to finish, her words passing over his skin as in his mind he had just put himself ahead of her. Nothing she said could hurt him now.
"As I said, showing off your pokemon are one thing. But when I see a member of the military with several pokemon and another man who I have never seen before with his pokemon out I decided it was best to be safe rather than sorry." He said turning back to Gregora, giving her a smug smile as he did. The smile only lasted a second before he turned back to the outsider.
"As for your question Mr. Boomer. Your best chance would be to head to Midway. There are a fair amount of grass and bug type pokemon there. However, if you are not used to battling I would urge you to exercise caution in doing so as some of the Pokemon can by quite strong."
He said offering the outsider a more sincere smile than the one he offered his fellow officer.
It is possible that you may be able to find people to travel with you, there is safety in numbers, but even still. It is difficult at best to capture a pokemon without battling, and I would urge you to at least give yourself some experience before venturing out there. It would also be wise to invest in some potions for your pokemon as well. Just in case." He said with a small knowing nod.

Boomer nodded as he listened to both the Officers advice. "Thank you...both." He spoke gently. "I think I should get some training. To be honest...Spinarak has never fought before, and neither have I." he admitted, rubbing his head with a guilty smile. "There are bound to be some kids around here who can help me out practicing it." Boomer said.
Spinarak was looking at Boomer curiously, having heard her name, but not sure what they were going on about. She nibbled on Boomers earlobe lovingly, making Boomer giggle gently, nudging her to stop it.

"It was no problem," Gregora said politely, showing a friendly but emotionless smile to Boomer before settling for her neutral expression, "but I agree with our...friend...here. It will be dangerous if you're not prepared."
Gregora didn't know the officer's name nor did she care. At the moment, she didn't exactly like the guy. He has been nothing but a nuisance that has challenged her emotional control. And it was the only control she had over anything since...
No. She wasn't going to remember the bloody and gruesome event that left her and her little brother mere orphans. And by people who wore the same uniform she was forced into wearing. Just seeing the guy in uniform bothered her. It bothered her almost as much as it bothered her that she had to wear that uniform.
She turned to the guy in uniform. He had accused her of something she wasn't doing and had tried to boss her around. And they were the same rank. She wanted nothing more than to battle the guy or punch him. Whichever was easiest to do. But she knew better. She knew that if she acted, it might mean her little brother's painful and possibly quite gruesome death. After all, they had also killed her parents in front of her and her little brother.
"It seems that you were wrong about me and had accused me of something wrongly. I would very much appreciate an apology since it appears that it would be the polite thing to do."

Well at least both him and Gregora agreed on one thing. That if this man wanted to leave central and go hunting pokemon, he would need to make sure his own pokemon were in fighting shape. Not to mention making sure he had the needed supplies. However that seemed to be the only thing they saw eye to eye on. He frowned when she said he had accused her of something and demanded an apology. A statement that irritated him since he didn't do any such thing in his mind. He saw a possible situation and investigated it.
"I'm sorry to inform you but I have not accused you of anything. I saw a situation that looked questionable and I investigated it. I was simply doing my job. I recommend that you learn to do the same. And you can start by learning the duty roster before you get called in by the higher ups." He said with a noticeable frown.
Turning back to the man known as Boomer, he would nod his head once again. "I wish you the best of luck. However, I have other things I must attend to." He said offering him a small smile. He shot another look back to Gregora before turning away from both of them to go home. He was tired after his shift this morning, then waiting in the pokemon center to make sure his Geodude and Meowth were alright. Added to the annoyance he now felt at the attitude of his fellow officer he needed to lay down at home. Have a little down time.
OOC: With that Mathew will leave the thread.

Boomer nodded at Matthew. "Yes...ofcourse." He said, very cautious. They were both friendly to him, but against each other, they were like buzzing angry Beedrills. Boomer waited till Matthew had left and turned to Gregora. "Hm...right." He said, not daring to see anything about the arguement, as he did not know what the mllitary here was like. "Gregora...Thank you for the advice and showing me your pokemon. I'm going to try and find some wild pokemon around here, or maybe some kids who will show me how to fight." he explained, shaking hands with her before leaving. ((Closing the topic. Thanks both for rping with me, Im sure they will meet Boomer later ))
