Name: Gregora Sommer
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Profession: Trainer
Alignment: Military
Appearance:
Whenever I look in the mirror, the first thing that greets me is this uniform that I must wear. I loathe these clothes as much as I hate myself as I glare at my own almost-orange brown eyes. When out of uniform, I wear the only clothing I had taken with me- my goggles, hat, necklace, green earrings, brown shirt, brown pants with a double belt and my boots. I've been told that my sense of fashion is quite interesting to behold.
My goggles have brown-tinted lenses and the lenses are held by a bronze-like metal. Brown leather holds it all together. My hat is a cap similar in design to the ones that were worn a long time ago by paperboys. It's actually quite comfortable and I always have my goggles resting on the brim when I don't have the goggles over my eyes. I tend to stuff the most unruly parts of my short white hair into my hat to keep it from being too annoying.
The effect really makes me look more butch but oh well. Can't help it that I had grown up with a manish build for no reason. My coat is a light almost white tan except the black patches on the arms. My eyes are a light brown that's almost orange, which I guess is okay since I wear black eyeliner. My necklace is a silver chain with a pendant that has a single blue jewel.
Personality:
She has a quiet personality, usually taking everything in and analyzing it. Her analytical personality makes people avoid her or use her for their own means. Or makes her a target of verbal and physical attacks. She avoids emotional attachment to everyone and everything, knowing that nothing is 'long for the world.' She has below average fine motor skills and her gross motor skills aren't as bad as her fine motor skills.
She is aware that she has poor people skills but sees no reason to hide it or sugarcoat everything. She's also what people would call 'brutally honest' because she had decided long ago that since she can't lie to save anyone's life, that she would just be blunt and honest. Anyone who spends even a minute with her knows that she just doesn't have any tact.
She hides most of her emotions because she doesn't want to reveal too much about her. That it would create more reasons for her to be attacked and abused by everyone around her. She just isn't comfortable with her emotions and even less comfortable in showing them. She hides her emotions behind her mask-like face and confronts them in private. It's not that unusual for her to hold all of her emotions in all day and has an emotional breakdown alone and out of sight.
She enjoys puzzles and games of logic, allowing her to use her analytical skills that she has honed throughout her life.
Biography:
She was born in a small town in Vizath, to a couple who ran a pokemon day care. Her parents had noticed that there was something unusual with her. For no reason, she would be screaming in agony. But that was the least of it. She was constantly screaming whenever she wore clothes and always found ways of removing her clothing. Then there was the time when her mother had to go on a quick trip to the store because they didn't know that they had been out of cheese. Instead of waiting until the scheduled day for grocery shopping, she had broken the routine and she had thrown a fit.
That with the complete lack of motor coordination and her usual mannerisms of organizing her toys in ways that no normal child did, her parents grew worried that something was wrong. Her parents took her to the doctor's to see what was wrong. The doctor asked the basic questions, but it left a lot of questions unanswered.
The doctor then set up an appointment for Gregora's parents to take her to a neurologist in another town in Vizath. The neurologist heard her parents' account of Gregora's actions and without asking any further questions, told them that she was a textbook case of Aspergers' Syndrome. Her parents learned from the neurologist that it's not life threatening and what causes some of it is that her brain proccesses everything around her all at once without any mental filtering. Her parents also learned that it's not curable but the worst of the symptoms could be treated through training and medication. She was started on tests to see what other issues she had and they quickly learned that her hearing was sensitive enough that she would be able to hear whistles that usually are made for pokemon to hear.
When she was six, she was given a little brother, Maximmilian. She helped her parents with Max whenever she was allowed. Quickly, her parents realized that Max was completely normal. Feeling pushed away, she grew jealous that Max was shown more love than she was because she was different. She slowly came to believe that something was wrong with her since her parents had failed to tell her of her handicap.
As she grew up, she was enrolled in a school that would have specialized classes and training to help her with her problems. When she was ten she was able to, for the first time in her life, able to catch a ball with the diameter of a foot. She had already finished her handwriting classes and her handwriting was easily one of the most intelliageable of her class. She was started on a strict social skills program and she started to show improvement.
When she was sixteen, it was announced that she was too "better" for them to continue the training. To celebrate, her parents gave her an egg. To celebrate Maximillian's tenth birthday, the family decided to go for a vacation to Cedar to go camping. Little did they know that such a vacation would change their lives.
They knew that the two countries were tense, but since they were always tense, that nothing would happen. Little did they know how wrong they were. While camping, war had broken out and they were believed to be Vizath spies. Some military people charged at them. Fearful for herself and her little brother, she stood in front of him. They watched as their lives changed as the troops shot and killed their parents. They at least took it easier on the children. Their belongings and pokemon were confiscated and were carted off to be trained by the military.
Once in Central, the two siblings were split up and Gregora went through training. She was threatened that she would either be a loyal member of the military or she and her little brother would die with her little brother being killed in front of her before she would join him. Knowing that she would have to listen to orders or she would be responsible for her little brother's death, she went through her military training.
The day after her birthday, she was issued her first pokemon and was released from her training. Now if only she knew what to do...
