Q: Why am I doing my own profile instead of having someone else do this for me?
A: Because you shouldn't have to cheat at a game to have fun and get an enjoyable experience out of it.
Q: What can I do with a Pokedex?
A: You can scan the enemy Pokemon's level and gender along with other mostly cosmetic things such as adding flavor text to your posts.
Q: What can I do with a journal?
A: You can make one in the journal section once your profile has been accepted. You can then post in it from your trainer's point of view whenever you want.
Q: Can I be a mod?
A: Now you can't.
Q: What do you mean no? What a jerk.
A: You can leave now.
Q: Well I have another question first. Do I have to play as a human?
A: If you can behave, I'll answer. You can play as a human, but soon we will add the option of playing as a Pokemon under the trainer's control. This means you will have a trainer, a person you control as if you were a trainer, but you will write from the Pokemon's perspective.
Q: Alright. Well why is there a limit on how many Pokemon we can have?
A: Because this is a new site. Enjoy your Pokemon, work on raising them and develop their personalities and background a little. If that's not your thing, you can just enjoy raising a strong team. The limit may change, but it will never be removed.
Q: Can I spawn my own Pokemon?
A: To comment on them just being there? Yes. To capture or battle them? No.
Q: Can I ask for a Pokemon to be spawned?
A: No. Begging and pleading will probably get you kicked out rather than help you.
Q: Okay. What moves do my Pokemon get?"
A: The order and time from which your Pokemon learn their moves depend on the latest updated attack list. Some Pokemon may gain an extra move, pay attention to such things. Otherwise, they will only have attacks up to and including their current level.
Q: Why only 10 attacks?
A: Because 4 is too few and 80 is too many. This may be subject to change, and if it does, there will be a facility implemented to re-teach a Pokemon a previously forgotten move.
Q: Can Pokemon learn Hidden Power?
A: Yes. Hidden Power will be considered at 70 attack power at all times and you can select the type when your Pokemon learns it. However, if you breed a Pokemon and it learns it as its egg move, the breeder will tell you what the Hidden Power is and you cannot change it. Ever.
Q: How do I level my Pokemon?
A: There are many ways. You can do a random battle with another trainer, or from a spawned trainer that a ref gives you when you are in your journey. Or, you can do the missions given or purchase a weekly mission.
If you do a battle outside of the missions, the level gains are as follows, based on your Pokemon's level:
Bellow - 10: No exp
-10 to -6 levels: .25 of a level
-5 to -3 levels: .5 of a level
-2 to +2 levels: 1 level
+3 to +5 levels: 2 levels
Q: What about Missions?
A: If you do it during a mission, read the mission to determine the exp your Pokemon gains.
Q: Does a capture give Pokemon exp?
A: Yes
Q: What if I use more than one Pokemon?
A: The exp is divided between the Pokemon that participated in battle. Participation means they have in any way, shape or form, been involved in the battle. This includes using a weather altering effect, or something to alter the ally's stats.
Q: OMG WHERE ARE GYMS AND CONTESTS!
A: Simmer down. Altairen was just in a war for God's sake. The Gyms were closed and contests were shut down due to lack of tourism.
Q: Oh. I guess that makes sense. Will there be Gyms and Contests later on?
A: Possibly. For now, the military has a hold on the land and everyone is too tense to think about Gyms.
Q: Where are the rare Pokemons?
A: Being even rarer. If you really want a rare Pokemon, I would suggest either seeing if you can capture it and spend your time in that area, or training to be able to enter such an area, or to wait for events to give you a chance. If all else fails, see if anyone else owns a Pokemon of the species you have and is willing to breed it to get an egg for you.
Q: What are alterations?
A: Pokemon have adapted to this harsh land by becoming more adaptive. In some cases, this has been to their benefit. It's harder to find an extra dark Pokemon in a cave. In some cases, the coloration variations have backfired, causing them to become brilliant in color, or even shiny. These are natural, and because of the harsh times, the Pokemon's genes have become slightly unstable, allowing alterations to appear more commonly in an altered Pokemon's offspring.
Q: So it's genetic? I can breed a million shiny Pokemon?
A: Maybe. It's more common, not guaranteed. Also, if you artificial alter your Pokemon, via the Item shop, it will not be a genetic alteration that can be passed on through breeding.
Q: That's dumb.
A: Well would you rather be able to customize your Pokemon or not?
Q: QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ
A: lol
