Boomer and Spinarak paced casually through the Central city. Fresh of the boat, they were, still a bit nautious even. With everything checked in well, they would now be exploring this new region. They wee excited, beaming at one another. Spinarak made content sounds as she sat on Boomers shoulder, looking around her with equal curiosity.
"So, we could get something to eat...or sightsee. There is suppost to be a really nice fountain at the central square." He chattered at his little companion as the strolled along.

Gregora surveyed the area by the fountain, looking for a battle. She was anxious to get some training in before the tournament. She saw a new person who looked like they just arrived. So she decided to approach the person.
"You new here?" Gregora asked, no trace of emotion in her voice.

Both Boomer and Spinarak jumped at the sight of the new arrival. She was dressed so formally. Looked like a millitairy official. "Yes...we are. We're just enjoying the beautiful city scape." Boomer replied with a nervous smile. He didn't like the others expression. The voice too, was so cold and distant. It made him feel unwanted in this country.

"It's easy to get lost here. I've done the same when I first arrived," Gregora said, her voice continuing to be emotionless.
(OOC: she's currently out of uniform and wearing the outfit in my avvy)
She continued to keep her hands out of her pockets, looking at the two as if analyzing them.
"I suggest that you remain careful since you seem new and that you're also new to training. There's a Tournament to start soon and people might pound on you and your pokemon for experience before the tournament to toughen themselves up," Gregora said in her normal tone, "in fact, I almost did just that until I realized that you have only one pokemon with you."

Boomer frowned at her tone of voice. "Right....Thanks for telling me that. I'm not a pokemon trainer or anything like that. To be honest, I've never actually caught a pokemon before. This spinarak was given to me when we were both young." He smiled gently at his partner pokemon.
"There's not much to learn from beating someone like me." He laughed a bit, hoping to get an emotion out of the other. He was absently stroking his little spider, something which she seemed to enjoy, leaning into his hand.

"I just got my first pokemon today as well," Gregora said in her normal tone, "in fact, they could use some socializing and fresh air."
She took out two pokeballs and released her two pokemon- a black Bagon and a normal colored Chimchar. The Chimchar seemed nervous about the Spinarak while the Bagon charged in and introduced herself in an overly friendly manner.

Boomer lowered on his knees, glad to meet two Pokemon that showed more emotion than this other. "Thats nice...nice to meet you both." Boomer said gently, patting the Bagon on its head and smiling gently at the Chimchar. His own Spinarak was eagerly crawling on the ground, checking out each of the new arrivals.

((OOC: sorry for not posting sooner, roommate has a sleeping disorder and needed the compy to keep him up until he could crash at a reasonable hour and I had gotten a procedure done on my big toe this morning.))
Gregora looked at the new guy, realizing that she hadn't introduced herself or her pokemon.
"I apologize for not introducing myself or my pokemon earlier. I'm Gregora and this is Ebon," she said, pausing to motion toward the Bagon, "and Blaze," she finished, motioning to the Chimchar.
"I'm part of the military here," she stated with a frown, showing her first expression that she has shown in front of Boomer before the frown disappeared quickly.

Boomer nodded at the other. "Nice to meet you...my name is Boomer. Or at least, thats what everyone calls me." He said, laughing gently. "This is Spinarak...she doesn't like nicknames." He said.
"The military?" Boomer wasn't sure how to reply to that, especially as she frowned. Boomer considered asking if she liked it. If she frowned, that was not a good sign, right? "Is that a nice job? You get to keep everything safe, I'd say?" He asked.
"Myself, I'm a scientist. Or biologist...both I suppose. I came here to investigate the effects of poison and pollution on the environment. Does that sound boring?" He asked her, just in case she was not at all interested.

"I guess I do keep everyone safe," Gregora said, "but..."
Gregora trailed off and closed her mouth, catching herself right before she divulged personal information to this stranger.
"It sounds boring, yes, but usually necessary to learn and understand," Gregora stated.

The day was turning out to be a nice one now. Finally his pokemon were back in fighting shape. The newest addition to his team Meowth now safe and healthy in his pokeball, as well as his Geodude. His loyal, if stubborn companion. Mathew was still in his uniform of this morning, despite his shift being long over. However he hadn't had the chance to go home since his run in with Meowth. Not wanting to leave the center in case there was a complication with his pokemon.
Now he walked through the streets, in his pristine uniform. Keeping an ever watchful eye out on the crowd as he made his way through them. For he may be on duty, but if there was ever trouble he knew it was his duty to step in. It was while he surveyed the crowd that something caught his eye. A familiar face, if not one that he knew well. Known mostly by name, and only because they were both in the same graduation class for Second officer training. He paused for a moment as he tried to recall her name.

He thought to himself finally. Curious as to why she was out of uniform he decided to approach her. He knew he might be mistaken and her shift could be over or not yet started. But he had thought her rotation was about now. Though the incidents of the morning did kind of throw his mind for a loop. He would approach the fellow officer and the unknown man, his stride swift and full of purpose. Holding up a single hand he would greet the two of them in a curt manner.
"Hello Gregora, is there a problem here?" He asked looking between his fellow officer in her normal clothing and the man, both with their pokemon outside of their balls. An unusual sight without an imminent battle.

Boomer jumped as the officer looked at him so sharply. Wow, were all millitary officials so tight? He smiled nervously and bend down to pick up his Spinarak, who's expression on his back was showing a nervous frown.

"None whatsoever," Gregora said, calling back her pokemon.
"I just met Boomer here. He's new to town and I thought to make my aquaintance and allow his pokemon to make my pokemon's aquaintance as well. Or is there a problem with showing simple manners?" Gregora asked with no emotion in her face or tone.

Mathew kept his face stony to hide his slight annoyance at Gregora. Her lack of tone and blank face irked him. As a fellow officer she should know that it was their job to ensure the safety of the public, and he didn't like the idea of a battle going on in the middle of the street. At least at this time of day.
"Manners are fine. However you must forgive me if I am mistaken. But I had been under the impression that you would be on duty. I felt it wise to make sure that the peace was not being disturbed." He said to his fellow officer before turning to the man identified as Boomer. His stern face softening a bit as he did.
"My apologies sir, I did not mean to come off as impolite." He said frowning slightly to himself. He extended his hand to the man known as Boomer as a quick peace offering. "Officer Mathew Amtrum. At your service." He said in a proud tone as he introduced himself.

Boomer's eyes moved from the one to the other, feeling the tension between them. Indeed, Gregora's lack of emotion was nerve breaking. Boomer shook the others hand. "Borislav Malkov...or just Boomer. Not a lot of people can pronounce my name right. I'm not even sure I pronounce it right." He said, a curious statement indeed.
"I must say, I love the city, what I've seen so far. Maybe you could help me, Officer Amtrum-" He asked, overly polite. He didn't have a clue how to address a military official in this country. "Where is a good place to find poison type pokemon around here?" He asked.
