Appearance:Emma has an edgey look about her. Sharp expressions, composed mostly of scowls and glares, makes he stand out. "I know I'm smarter than you, and I'm not afraid to show it by looking at you like you're stupid" many times is the look she will give passers-by. A smirk is most likely what she considers her trademark, if she believed in that kind of thing.
Even with her hard exterior, she would be considered a pretty young lady. Perfectly shaped almond eyes framed by manicured eyebrows. Medium length choppy dark brown hair. Plump and full lips that any man would want to kiss if he was sure poison wasn't awaiting him in the lip gloss. Even her nose, broken far too many times, gives her an unusual beauty about her.
Emma's build is average. A true hourglass shape, very feminine in nature, though not Barbie so. If anything, she wished she had a bigger rack. Though her height is 5'8" she is fairly petite.
She will normally be found wearing something simple. A wife beater tank in any color or design topped with a crop top hoodie (light weight in the summer), and a pair or denim jeans or Bermuda shorts. In the winter time she favors furs and wool. Warmth will always beat out fashion if it came down to it, for Emma has a hard time staying warm.
Personality: Emma is a hard-ass, go getter, stubborn mule. She will do what she wants, her way, when she wants to. Sure morals apply, everyone has their own guild-lines, but Emma's are more self serving. If something benefits her, that's what she goes with.
Not to say she doesn't have her softer points. Sometimes her clumsiness makes her seem almost human, but shes still going to stab you in the back when the status quo has shifted...but then she might break you out of a jam when it turns back.
Emma's a softy for pokemon though. Her pokemon are great tools allying her along the way. She might stop off in a poke-center, just to see how other pokemon are doing, as well as catch up on some great match stories. Or Emma might be found chasing a Butterfree, that's just how she is.
Biography: Emma was born and grew up in Vizath until she was 8. She had a fairly good childhood, though her home life was heavily influenced by the Vizath government. Behind closed doors, her mother and father would be at each others throat's because of her mothers line of work. "Top secret scientist stuff" was what Emma was told by her mom and dad. The secrets are what broke the family apart.
Her father was a rich banker that lost all his life earnings during the war. Her mother, Celeste, was a pokemon scientist helping the Vizath government utilize the pokemon's abilities in battle. In hopes to regain his life (divorcing Celeste, the economy run into the ground by the government) and losing faith in is homeland (military and especially his ex-wife), Emma's father, Frank, traveled to Altairen to start anew.
When Emma turned 15 she vowed to become a great pokemon trainer and fight the Vizath with her pokemon she gained in Altairen to win her mother back from them. The war was still bitter in her heart, bitter at her father for leaving her mom, bitter at the government for stealing her mother away from her. She wanted the ultimate revenge. So she began her journey.
Only being 8 when she was forced to move, and not having understood the reasons behind her father coming to Altairen her goals swiftly changed when she found out the truth some years later. She despised Vizath and what they stood for, hated the repression they forced upon her unknowingly at a young age, hated her mom for letting her father take Emma away from her. With a new fire burning brightly in Emma's heart, she vowed to save Altairen (the other 'victim' in the war she could relate to).
Now at 23 Emma wants to be a Polemon Gym Leader. The only way to save Altairen is to make it thrive, and bringing back what was lost. She wants to oppose the governments restrictions and bring Altairen back to its former glory. Emma wants the conflicts to end and for her family to reunite. Emma wants to fight her way to happiness.
