Name: Jayden Carter
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Profession: Trainer
Alignment: Civilian
Appearance:
Jayden is short, around 4 feet, as is her hair, which goes down as far as her chin. Her hair is usually rather messy, as she doesn't bother brushing it much. Due to her nearsightedness she frequently dons glasses. Her hazel colored eyes are hard to see behind her long bangs.
Jayden is fond of wearing t-shirts and jeans, regardless of the weather. She also constantly wears her favorite, worn out gray hoodie, tying it around her waist when it gets hot. Any Pokemon filled poke-balls she has with her are stored on a bracelet on one of her wrists for easy access. The purple bag on her back holds the rest of her items.
Jayden has light skin, turned even darker from the sun and dirt. She is incredibly skinny, enough for her ribs to be felt. However, it is not an unhealthy thin. Her clothes are ragged from a year of traveling throughout the Hoenn region.
Personality:
Because Jayden spent most of her life at home, she isn't used to talking to people and feels awkward doing so. She comes across as being a rather sad, lonely person, though she just likes being by herself sometimes. She enjoys the freedom to roam the region and capture new Pokemon. Next to battling, exploring is her favorite thing to do.
Jayden believes that a good trainer can secure a victory, even at a disadvantage. For this reason, she works hard to make her Pokemon stronger and herself skilled at handling them. She grows attached to all the pokemon she owns and is always willing to put thier happiness above her own. She is especially attached to her new Buizel, and looks forward to a long adventure with it.
Biography:
According to Anna Carter, the birth of her daughter Jayden was the worst day of her life. A bitter widow living in the city of Slateport, Mrs. Carter didn't care the slightest for her child; the only thing keeping her from throwing Jayden out on the streets was the fact that she could get some free labor out of her. Ever since she could walk and talk, Jayden has been kept inside the house cleaning and cooking every day. She also was used as a verbal punching bag on days where her mother was especially grumpy.
On rare occasions where her mother was out of town, Jayden would leave the house and go to the local battle tent. There, she watched as trainers from around the region came to test their skills with their rented Pokemon. Jayden was absolutely fascinated with the battlers and especially their Pokemon, desiring to become a trainer herself. However, when she asked her mother for a Pokemon, Anna simply laughed, saying she'd never make it out there alone. Jayden got the surprise of a lifetime when she recieved a Minun for her 14th birthday, a gift from her mother to "get you out of my hair."
Jayden could hardly believe it, but she was finally living the life she always wanted. She no longer had to put up with her shrew of a mother, but instead got to travel throughout the region with her trusted Pokemon companion. Together they challenged the gyms, captured new pokemon, and trained enough to make it to the Pokemon League. The strain of fighting against the Elite Four, one after another, was too much for her Pokemon, and they lost to the champion Wallace.
Disheartened, and nearly out of money, Jayden faced the prospect of returning to her awful mother. She released all of her pokemon companions, including her beloved Minun, and sadly returned to Slateport. She was shocked to discover that Anna had sold the house and left a year ago. Jayden had not only lost her friends, but now had no place left to go, until she saw a flyer advertising the region of Altairen.
Without the slightest hesitation, Jayden bought herself a ferry ticket and headed out for the new region. She was immensely excited about the chance to start fresh in a new area. Once she approved she was let into the rest of Altarian. Jayden befriended an abandoned Buizel in Central, which became her companion on her journey.
