The first thing that strikes most people who meet Eva certainly must be her pair of pink kitty ears on top of her head; it was the very last thing her parents ever gave her so she is usually wearing it. At another glance one would notice she is slightly smaller then most, because during the transition between the tragedy and adoptive family she didn't eat much. Her skin was once a creamy tan color from the result of the snow but is now slightly pale, a result from being inside most of the time. Still it looks like recently a gentle warm tingle filled it, and the usual little blush on her cheeks makes the paleness fade away nearly instantly. Speaking about her skin, even though she stayed inside it is well cared for, smooth and clean, free from any possible blemish. Some would even say it has its own glow to it.
The second, and perhaps another often notice feature is her purple hair with violet streaks. Long purple locks that naturally flow down the side of her head when not pinned up, the front being long enough to reach her shoulders. The back of her hair when pinned up is spiky naturally and usually lays down in a neat bun. Her face is a perfect oval shape, and houses a pair of bright crimson eyes that remind people of rubies; they are also slightly larger than average. The pale colored lips of the girl are usually curled up slightly into a playful smile, but at times her smile seems to fade, and her expression saddens, showing a pitiful expression bringing gentle feelings from most humans who have a good heart.Eva's body is well built though her legs being quite muscular despite her short size.
The attire of the young girl is a jacket-like long-sleeved shirt. The colors of it being pale green and white reminding her of the sea. Something that people notice is the reddish pink heart that is on her left sleeve it represents her parents death. She is usually wearing either tight purple shorts or a flowing dark purple skirt and long black stockings with navy blue ribbons of color on the top. Around her neck there is usually a pink scarf that matches a pink Pokeball that used to be her moms.The final thing noticed is that around the neck of the young woman is a pure gold chain holding preciously a white gold heart locket.
Personality:
Eva is a people person but often shies away because she was sheltered at a very young age from others. She is warmly interested in them; she uses her sensing and judging characteristics to gather specific, detailed information about others, and turn this information into supportive judgments. She is extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. Her strong desire to be liked and for everything to be pleasant makes her highly supportive of others. Sadly though it makes her naive and she is quick to believe almost anything someone says.
Eva tries to be warm and energetic, wearing a mask of happiness around others, but is then often crying by herself in the corner. When shes' around others she needs almost constant approval from them to feel good about herself, for her parents died when she was young, and never really gave her any attention when they went on their trips. She is hurt by indifference and doesn’t understand unkindness. She is a very giving person, who gets a lot of her personal satisfaction from the happiness of others because she never received it in return from her parents. She wants to be appreciated for who she is, and what she gives. She is very sensitive to others, and freely gives practical care. She is such a caring individual, that she sometimes has a hard time seeing or accepting a difficult truth about someone often resulting in total shutting down for her.
Eva's value system is defined externally; she usually has a very well-formed idea about the way things should be, and is not shy about expressing her opinions, which will sometimes get her in trouble. However, she weighs her values and morals against the world around them, rather than against an internal value system.
Eva respects and believes in the laws and rules of authority, and believes that others should do as well. She is traditional, and prefer to do things in the way she learned herself, rather than venturing into uncharted territory. Her need for security drives her ready acceptance and adherence to the policies of the established system. This tendency may cause her to sometimes blindly accept rules without questioning or understanding them. She enjoys tradition and security, and will seek a stable live from her rather tragic past that is filled with her Pokémon friends.
Biography:
Eva's parents were hikers that lived nearby a lake from a different region. They usually were out on their own and neglected Eva for the first 5 years of her life. Seeing their mistake when the maids that took care of Eva complained they began to take her out at a very young age, to go with her family on cross-country trips in the constantly snow-bound Routes that were close to her home.
However, on one trip at age seven along the closest route to her home, disaster struck. A disastrous avalanche was triggered, and the ensuing blast of snow killed her parents when they were thrust down the mountainous terrain. She barely avoided following them downward, but she was buried in the snow and was left freezing to death. The route being unusually empty at the time, it seemed that her fate was sealed.
Several people saw the chaotic scene and began quickly pulling together a rescue team. People and Pokemon alike began searching for survivors, but alas their efforts were in vain for the snow was too high for them. Knowing that quite a few Pokemon were on top the mountain and probably got caught in the avalanche, they all put their heads down in silent mourning. Not knowing that Eva was still alive under all the snow they began slowly turning away for home. One Pokemon stayed behind sensing that something was wrong and began searching! It began roaming around sniffing the ground with its nose for a trace of any life when it came across a small sliver of a ski sticking straight up in the air.
Eva hearing footsteps close by began to weakly scream and thrust her ski into the air. Maybe they would hear her and rescue her; as if hearing her prayers light began pouring into her small hole. A Mareep stood there, her savior... She quickly dug out the weakening Eva and laid down next to her keeping her warm with her thick white wool. Knowing that time was running out she began to make bleating (sheep) noises with all her might sending the sound waves down the mountain. A few passerby's from the clean up crews to reopen the route appeared from the noise and quickly saw the problem.
More workers returned with a makeshift gurney and brought her safely down the mountain. From there she was quickly emitted to the nearest hospital, the wild Mareep remaining with her the whole time. During the recovery, Eva developed a strong relationship with her. They have been together ever since.
Later on an adoptive family from the Altairen region,who lived in New port right on the sea, took her in to continue to heal her. The wounds of her parents death were wrapped so tightly she tried to develop a whole new personality and even gave herself the nickname Arista, hoping to forget her previous life and the tragedy that went with it. Being by the sea comforted her making it less difficult for her to sleep without tears coming to her eyes. While she grew close to her new loving family, her bond with her Mareep was far stronger, as she played the part of her protector. The decision to become a trainer was evident.
To this day, Eva always thought of it an odd coincidence that Mareep found her on that horrible day. Even with her friend, she became more depressed and eventually, each anniversary of the day her parents passed, she would burst out into tears.After everything though she maintains a happy outlook on life at all times to avoid the circumstance the painful memories coming back. From the accident she learned to love life more and thats what make her an ideal candidate for a Pokemon Trainer and she continues to grow stronger yet.
